Kuala Lumpur – August 2014: Getting to Arenaa Star Hotel

Back in KLIA!
Back in KLIA!

Leaving Youniq Hotel, we are here back in KLIA on our way to our next stop: Arenaa Star Hotel! There are many reasons why we are so looking forward to this hotel but before we blabber on, let us take you on this journey.

Why were we in KLIA again!?

If you recall, Youniq Hotel is very near KLIA and thankfully Youniq Hotel provides airport shuttle service at RM 5.00 per person one way. KLIA Ekspres offers direct train service to the heart of KL (KL Sentral) and that is where we need to be. Let’s go!

Step 1: Get from KLIA to KL Sentral via KLIA Ekspres

Boarding KLIA Ekspres (in the right direction) will send you to KL Sentral in approximately about half an hour. This train does not stop at the stops in between KLIA and KL Sentral.

Step 2: Get from KL Sentral to Masjid Jamek via Light Rapid Transit (LRT)

The nearest train station to Arenaa Star Hotel is Masjid Jamek (2 stops away from KL Sentral).

You can purchase a ticket via the ticket vending machine. You may select English from the main screen and proceed to select the destination that you like to get to. Do note though, that there are certain denominations of the currency that the vending machine does not accept. When all else fails, speak to the personnel  at the control station.

You will then be issued a coin as your one way ticket to Masjid Jamek. For entry, tap in at the gantry and you will have to insert the coin into the slot before exiting any stations.

Head towards the right platform (towards KJ1 Gombak) and if you are heading somewhere else, just take note of the direction.

Step 3: Alight at Masjid Jamek and Walk to Arenaa Star Luxury Hotel

Exiting at the right station exit will be evident when you encounter Burger King on the right side of the station. The following map will help you navigate better:

Heading in the direction of Burger King, continue to walk downwards along Jalan Tun Perak. You will have to cross the road on the left eventually when you encounter Segi College. It is a city campus college at Jalan Hang Lekiu, the same street that Arenaa Star Hotel is at. Arenaa Star Luxury Hotel is at the end of the street though.

There is also another branch hotel nearby “Arenaa Mountbatten” so take note that they are two different hotels.

Now that we are here at our next checkpoint: Arenaa Star Luxury Hotel, let us introduce you to our room in a short while. Stay tuned!
